Sir John Franklin

Sir John Franklin sits to the east of Kenaston Blvd (Route 90) on the south shore of the Assiniboine River. It is bordered to the east by a set of railroad tracks west of Lindsay St, and to the south by Corydon Ave.

There are a bundle of city parks and open spaces, with the Corydon Community Centre providing plenty of athletic activities.

  • Theodore Niizhotay Fontaine Park is an open space featuring a pair of baseball diamonds, found on the south side of Wellington Cres under the St. James Bridge.
  • Andrew Currie Park is a greenspace featuring several flower beds, found on the south side of Wellington Cres at Renfrew St.
  • Sir John Franklin Park features a playground, tennis courts, and baseball diamond, found on the north side of Wellington Cres at Renfrew St.
  • T.R. Hodgson Park is a greenspace with a playground, found at Tuxedo Ave and Lockwood St, next to Carpathia School.
  • The Sir John Franklin site of the Corydon Community Centre is found at the north end of Sir John Franklin Rd off Corydon Ave. The park features a baseball diamond, soccer field, tennis courts, hockey rink, and playground.
